Three connected points labelled LABEL, STORAGE and HELP. LABEL STORAGE HELP

Storage is product-specific

There is no single storage rule for all peptides: some are kept cold and some at room temperature, so the exact label and pharmacy instructions control.

The FDA advises against using a refrigerated injection from the group of medicines that includes semaglutide if it arrives warm or without enough refrigeration.

Do not guess from syringe markings or dose directions

The FDA has received reports of harm from dose mistakes with compounded injectable semaglutide, including cases that required hospital care.

Measuring mistakes have harmed people using compounded injectable semaglutide.

If the label, syringe markings and spoken instructions do not match clearly, stop and contact the dispensing pharmacy or prescriber before use.

Know where help lives

A severe allergic reaction may start in seconds or minutes and requires emergency help; call 911.

Patients can report a medicine problem to the FDA through MedWatch at no cost.
